Where to Find the Production Date of Jaguar XFL?

The production date of Jaguar XFL can be found on the edge of the co-pilot's door and on the vehicle certificate. Edge of the co-pilot's door: Below the B-pillar on the co-pilot's side, open the door to see it. This nameplate only shows the year and month, and the vehicle's VIN is also noted on the nameplate. New vehicle certificate: Located in the upper right corner of the certificate, the production date here can be precise to the year, month, and day. When the new car arrives at the dealership, there will be a paper nameplate on the front windshield of the driver's seat. The paper nameplate shows the VIN and the MIIT fuel consumption. If the bottom of the paper nameplate is precise to the year, month, and day, then the production date on this nameplate can be used as a reference date. If the nameplate only shows the year and month, then it cannot be used as the production date.
I've seen quite a few Jaguar models, and the production date of the XFL can usually be found in two locations. First, open the driver's door and crouch down to look below the B-pillar. There's a metal plate attached there, which displays the production date along with the VIN and engine parameters. The text is quite small, so you'll need to look carefully. Another spot is the lower left corner of the windshield. Through the glass, you can see the VIN label, where the 10th character indicates the year—M for 2021 models and N for 2022 models. This method is quite accurate. When I helped a friend check recently, I noticed that some newer models also have a factory information card inside the glove compartment on the passenger side. If you still can't find it, taking a photo of the VIN and asking the dealership to check is more reliable, as the production date affects warranty coverage and used car valuation.
Last time during maintenance, I specifically asked the technician about the production date location for the Jaguar XFL. They said the most reliable method is the 10th digit of the VIN. For example, in the 17-digit code at the lower left corner of the windshield, the 8th digit from the end indicates the month, and the 10th digit is the year code. Cars registered in 2023 might start with 'P'—specific reference tables can be found online. Additionally, there's an aluminum plate near the top of the right front shock tower under the hood that clearly states the production year and month. Note that the plate's location may vary by model year; it's not uncommon for older models to have it on the B-pillar while newer ones relocate it to the engine compartment.
