Headquartered in Shanghai. Here is more information about WM Motor: 1. Development History: Founded in 2015, headquartered in Shanghai, China, the company's name is derived from the German word for world champion (Weltmeister). It is a domestic emerging new energy vehicle product and mobility solution provider. Since its establishment, WM Motor has formulated a clear "three-step" development strategy for the group: to be a popularizer of intelligent electric vehicles; to become a data-driven intelligent hardware company; and to become a service provider for a new smart mobility ecosystem. (Formerly a three-electric system R&D enterprise founded by co-founder Du Ligang in 2012), WM Motor is committed to promoting the development and implementation of the smart mobility industry. 2. Vehicle Models: WM W6, WM EX5, WM EX6 Plus, etc.

WM Motor's headquarters is located in Shanghai, with production bases mainly distributed in Wenzhou and Huanggang. The Wenzhou factory is their first self-built facility, situated in the Oujiangkou New Area, and has been producing models like the EX5 since 2018. Our car club visited it last year, and the workshops were fully equipped with automated robotic arms. The Huanggang factory is a later-built intelligent production base, primarily manufacturing premium models such as the W6. By the way, I heard there's also a cooperative factory in Shenyang, but currently, the main production still relies on these two facilities in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region. Knowing this is quite practical—recently, I noticed their used cars are quite affordable, and checking the manufacturing location can help avoid the risk of flood-damaged vehicles.

It's quite interesting to study the layout of new energy vehicle production. WM Motor has concentrated its core production capacity in the Yangtze River Delta and Central China regions. The Wenzhou facility is located in Zhejiang, while the Huanggang plant is in Hubei, both built according to Industry 4.0 standards. I've seen internal photos on industry forums - the Huanggang production line is entirely serviced by AGVs for parts transportation. This layout is quite smart, with Wenzhou covering the East China market and Huanggang serving the central and western regions. Actually, they also have an R&D center in Germany, but all manufacturing operations are placed in domestic factories, given China's complete industrial chain and convenient access to battery and motor supply chains.

My hometown is in Huanggang, where the WM Motor factory has been established in our development zone for several years. Every day on my way to and from work, I can see the factory gate. The factory area is three to four times larger than a football field, and I heard there are hundreds of robots on the production line alone. Many locals are employed on the assembly line, and the benefits are quite good. Unregistered test vehicles with WM logos on the rear are often seen on the road. Some colleagues mentioned that the Wenzhou factory is larger, but the cars produced in our Huanggang factory come with autonomous driving features. Last week, I even encountered their test fleet on the road—a dozen new cars driving in formation, which was quite impressive.
