Wuling Zhiguang's cabin air filter is located inside the glove box. The cabin air filter is a type of filter installed in the car's air conditioning system, which can absorb dust particles, alleviate respiratory discomfort, reduce irritation for allergy sufferers, and protect the air conditioning cooling system. The Wuling Zhiguang has dimensions of 3797mm in length, 1510mm in width, and 1820mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2500mm. It is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.2L L4 engine. The vehicle features a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, with a front suspension type of MacPherson independent suspension and a rear suspension type of leaf spring non-independent suspension. The body structure is of a unibody design.

I used to wonder about the location of the Wuling Sunshine's cabin air filter too. The design is quite reasonable—it's right behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. You'll need to fully open the glove box, where you'll find a plastic cover secured by two clips or screws. Remove this cover, and the filter housing will be directly visible. I've replaced it twice myself. The first time might be a bit tricky, so remember to have a Phillips screwdriver and a small pry tool ready. It's recommended to replace the filter at least once a year, especially in humid southern regions where mold and odors can develop easily. Don’t just stop at replacing the filter—take the opportunity to clean the air ducts as well. Wipe the inside of the cover with a damp cloth to remove dust, and give the air vents a quick wipe too. This will noticeably improve cooling efficiency and keep the air much fresher during long drives.

The Wuling Sunshine's cabin air filter is hidden inside the glove compartment on the passenger side. After opening the compartment, feel around the deepest part to locate it. You'll need to first remove the plastic cover with clips - just give it a gentle pry and it comes off easily. The positioning is quite concealed but not overly difficult to find. I always take a photo to document the original orientation before replacing the filter, to avoid installing the new one backwards which could affect airflow. When replacing, don't forget to clean out debris in the glove box corners where leaves and paper scraps tend to accumulate and block the air intake. In northern areas with heavy sand/dust, it's best to replace it each spring and summer while also checking the fan blades - I've personally encountered reduced airflow due to leaves stuck in the fan blades.

The air filter for the Wuling Zhiguang is located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. Open the compartment to see a plastic cover, and removing it allows direct access to the filter. During my own experience, I found the cover clips to be quite fragile, so it's best to pry them slowly along the edges. Don't skimp on quality when buying a new filter—poorly sized ones can let dust through. After replacement, test the air flow and check for any unusual odors. Insufficient airflow might indicate a clogged duct. The whole process takes about three minutes, and it's recommended to replace the filter every six months.

Last time I helped my neighbor replace the air conditioning filter on their Wuling Sunshine, and the design is really convenient—it's located at the very back of the glove compartment on the passenger side. After opening the glove box, you need to remove the limit rods on both sides, then flip the entire glove box downward to access the filter housing. The key is to have an LED flashlight handy for better visibility, as it's easy to miss the clip positions in the dark. I usually take the opportunity to vacuum the dust around the air duct connection to prevent secondary contamination from debris. It's best to install a new filter before turning on the heater in winter, as accumulated dust can become especially irritating when heated. Switching to an activated carbon filter can also help reduce smog.

Is it better to use 92 or 95 octane fuel for the Touran?

The Volkswagen Touran 1.4T uses 92 octane, while the 1.8T uses 95 octane. These fuel grades are recommended in the vehicle's official user manual. In addition to checking the appropriate fuel grade in the user manual, the Touran's fuel cap will also indicate the recommended grade. You can also determine the fuel grade based on the engine's compression ratio. Vehicles with an engine compression ratio between 8.6-9.9 should use 92 octane, those between 10.0-11.5 should use 95 octane, and those with higher compression ratios should use 98 octane. However, with the use of new technologies, the compression ratio alone cannot determine the fuel grade, as high-compression engines can be tuned to use lower-octane fuel. Other factors, such as ignition timing, turbocharging technology, and Atkinson cycle technology, also play a role. Generally, the higher the fuel grade, the higher the octane rating and the better the anti-knock performance. 92 octane fuel contains 92% isooctane and 8% n-heptane, while 95 octane fuel contains 95% isooctane and 5% n-heptane. If you accidentally use the wrong fuel grade in the Touran, simply switch back to the correct grade after the current tank is used up. However, long-term use of the wrong fuel grade can have the following effects: Using a higher octane fuel in a vehicle designed for lower octane will not cause damage, but the increased octane rating can alter the fuel's ignition point, leading to delayed combustion. This reduces the engine's power output and thermal efficiency, resulting in poorer performance. Using a lower octane fuel in a vehicle designed for higher octane can cause engine knocking. The lower octane rating reduces the fuel's ignition point, causing it to ignite prematurely during the compression stroke. If the fuel ignites before the spark plug fires, resistance occurs during the upward stroke, making the engine run very unevenly. Mild knocking may only increase noise without significant engine damage, but severe knocking indicates serious engine issues, affecting driving stability and causing abnormal wear on pistons and cylinders, potentially leading to cylinder scoring.

How to Repair Peeling Clear Coat on Car Surface?

Check the size of the area where the clear coat has peeled off. If the area is small, you can handle it yourself using common DIY methods. If the area is large, take it to an auto repair shop. To treat the clear coat layer, first clean the scratched or peeled area with a cloth. Avoid using tools that could scratch the paint further. Apply toothpaste lightly to the peeled area, then use a pure cotton cloth to gently remove any debris with some pressure. Afterward, clean the cloth and wipe off the toothpaste. Wash and dry the car body thoroughly. Then, apply car paint repair liquid to a towel and polish the area in a circular motion until the surface becomes relatively smooth.

What does LO mean on car air conditioning?

LO on car air conditioning refers to the lowest temperature setting of the car's AC, and it can indicate two situations: 1. It means the AC is currently cooling rather than heating, with the cooling intensity further adjustable via different settings; 2. If the AC can display temperature values but currently only shows LO, it indicates maximum cooling. Some AC units may also display Hi or Me, representing high or medium temperature, respectively. LO stands for LOW, and HI stands for HIGH. Correct usage of car air conditioning: 1. The blue button on the left side of the car represents cold air, the red one represents warm air, and the middle one represents moderate temperature; 2. To activate cold air, adjust the left button towards the blue area. For warm air, adjust it towards the red area and press the AC switch. The middle button controls the fan speed, while the rightmost button adjusts the mode, allowing you to direct airflow to the feet, hands, windshield, or a combination of these; 3. The white line on the left adjusts the temperature. If it feels too warm, adjust it to the middle. To turn off the AC without shutting down the system, simply turn off the middle fan.
