The USB port for the Volkswagen Touareg is located in the middle of the center console screen or at the lower right corner, marked with a USB data symbol. The high-end version of the Touareg has two USB ports. One is inside the storage compartment in front of the passenger seat—open the compartment to find a cable with a port where you can plug in the USB drive. The other USB port in the high-end Touareg is located under the armrest on the driver's side. Open the armrest to find a USB port at the bottom of the compartment. Insert the USB drive into the car's USB port, then turn on the device to use it. Additionally, you can copy MP3 music from a computer. Generally, the car can only recognize music files in MP3 or WMA formats. When using a USB drive, it requires driver loading. If the USB drive or phone is occasionally not recognized, try reconnecting it. If the USB drive is not used for a long time, remove it promptly to prevent accelerated aging.
