Where is the USB port in the Vezel?

Honda Vezel's USB port is located at the bottom of the center console, in the middle of the gear lever. The USB port in the car has two functions: one is to charge the mobile phone, and the other is to play music with a USB flash drive. Some models do not have the charging function, so you can only buy a cigarette lighter car charger to replace it. The following is an introduction to the USB port in the car: 1. Functions: (1) Insert a USB flash drive to listen to songs. (2) Charge the mobile phone. (3) USB car cigarette lighter. (4) Car vacuum cleaner. (5) Electronic dog, driving recorder. 2. Precautions for using the USB port: (1) You must charge when the car engine is started to avoid the phenomenon of electrical burning due to unstable car power supply. (2) Do not supply too many electrical appliances, which will cause too much load and damage the car battery and generator.
I've been driving the Vezel for almost three years, and the USB ports are located inside the front center armrest. Just lift the armrest lid and feel inside—there are two ports towards the front. One is for connecting CarPlay or charging, and the other can be used simultaneously. Last time, my friend in the passenger seat searched for a long time but couldn't find them, only to realize they were tucked in a recess at the bottom of the armrest. I recommend pulling the charging cable out through the gap in the armrest so the lid can stay slightly open while charging, preventing the cable from getting crushed. If your phone is running low on battery and you need a quick charge, you can also use a USB adapter next to the cigarette lighter, but the factory ports are more stable—they won’t cut out during music playback or navigation. The armrest design is quite hidden; it took me a while to find it when I first got the car. Just remember not to stuff too many items inside that might block the ports.
Just a couple of days ago, I helped my neighbor check the USB port in their Vezel, located on the inner side of the front armrest near the driver's position. When you lift the armrest cover, don't just look at the surface—run your fingers along the front edge of the base to feel two rows of metal contacts. The advantage of this location is that it doesn't take up space on the center console, but the downside is that you'll need to lean forward to plug or unplug a USB drive. If it doesn't respond when plugged in, first check if the USB drive's format is incompatible, then inspect the port for any oxidation from spilled drinks. Models after 2019 also added a Type-C port in the same location, so remember to use an adapter if you're connecting an Apple cable. It's best to regularly clean the port with a cotton swab to remove dust, as dirty metal contacts can lead to poor connectivity.
Last week during the test drive of the new Vezel, I specifically examined the USB port design. All trims come standard with ports located inside the front armrest box. After opening the lid and bending down to look, I noticed two ports embedded on the inner wall near the passenger side, about three fingers' height above the storage compartment base. The new model features wider port spacing, allowing two thick charging cables to be plugged in simultaneously without interference. The salesperson explained this placement ensures cable management neatness, with charging cables routed through the armrest side gap to connect with phone mounts. However, base models only have one USB port, while higher trims include two. Actual testing showed 5V1A charging output - slightly slow for phones but very stable for carplay connections. Remember the ports automatically power off after engine shutdown to protect the battery.
