Where is the Unlimited-Speed Highway in China?

China's unlimited-speed highway is the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, and its parallel line has officially entered the construction phase. The starting point is at the Xiasha Hub of the Hangzhou Ring Expressway, and the endpoint is at the Chaiqiao Hub of the Ningbo Chuanshan Port Expressway, with a total length of approximately 161 kilometers. The Hangzhou section is about 9 kilometers, the Shaoxing section is about 29 kilometers, and the Ningbo section is about 123 kilometers. It is planned to have six lanes in both directions and is expected to be completed and open to traffic by 2022. The Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway is not truly unlimited in speed. Unlimited-speed highways are also known as super highways. After considering factors such as drivers, passengers, and vehicles, the design speed of this highway is expected to exceed 120 km/h, aiming to meet the technical standards of Italy's highways, which have a speed limit of 150 km/h.
