Where is the trunk opening button for the Bluebird?

The trunk opening button for the Bluebird is located below the left side of the driver's seat. There is a black handle approximately 1.5 cm wide and about a dozen centimeters long. Pulling the handle upward opens the trunk, while pushing it downward opens the fuel tank cap. The Bluebird's body dimensions are 4683 mm in length, 1780 mm in width, and 1465 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. In terms of exterior design, this car continues the current model's design, featuring a fastback style with a short and high rear end, giving the body a diving posture. The A, B, and C pillars are all black, creating a popular floating roof visual effect. Regarding safety features, the car has mainly upgraded its active safety system. The Nissan active safety system includes a pre-collision braking system, lane departure warning system, blind spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alert system.
When I first bought my Bluebird, I also couldn't find the trunk button. After some exploration, I realized the buttons are mainly in two locations: The most commonly used one is on the car key - there's a trunk icon button, and holding it for three seconds will automatically pop open the trunk. The other is on the driver's door armrest, aligned with the window switches - there's a physical button with a trunk symbol. Mid-to-low trim models might not have the door panel button, in which case you can only open it via the key. Newer Bluebird models also have an electronic switch option in the infotainment screen menu. When searching for the button, I recommend checking the key first as it's the most intuitive locating method. By the way, a reminder not to try pressing the buttons when the car is locked, as it will trigger the alarm.
Last month, a friend drove his Bluebird to visit me, and we spent quite some time in the parking lot figuring out the trunk button. Eventually, we realized that the Bluebird's opening mechanism is quite typical: the remote key must have an independent button; there's always a physical button in the driver's side door control panel, right next to the mirror adjustment knob; some higher-end models even support kick-sensing trunk opening. One easily overlooked detail: if the car key runs out of battery, you can lift the hidden slot under the trunk lid edge to find a mechanical keyhole. It's recommended that owners remember to clean the button area when washing the car, as accumulated dirt may cause button failure.
