Where is the trunk button located?

Car trunk switch positions are typically near the rear license plate light, below the steering wheel on the left side, or on the main driver's door. Some vehicle models do not have a trunk button or lever, in which case the trunk operates as a door-linked lock. Simply unlocking the central control will allow the trunk to be opened from the rear. Additionally, most cars can open the trunk using the remote key. Remote key (external): The external method to open the trunk is via the remote key, which is also the most common way to open the trunk. Simply press the trunk icon (usually showing a raised car rear) on the car key to activate the opening button. Some vehicle models may not have a dedicated trunk button on the remote key; in such cases, pressing the unlock button will also open the trunk. Another variation involves smart sensing keys—if the remote key is within a certain range, pressing the switch on the trunk itself will open it. Internal control switch: Internal trunk control switches come in two types: button-style and lever-style. The button's position may vary depending on the manufacturer and model, but it is usually located on the left side of the steering wheel or in the central control area. Some models use a lever instead of a button, typically positioned on the lower left side of the driver's seat or the steering wheel. This lever often shares its location with the fuel tank cap lever and features a raised car rear icon.
