Where is the transmission oil filler port on the Citroën Elysée?

For automatic transmissions, it's located underneath the vehicle. For manual transmissions, it's next to the battery, covered by a black plastic cap which can be removed for refilling. The following precautions should be observed when adding transmission oil: Incorrect transmission oil specification selection: This directly affects oil pressure, which in turn impacts shifting performance. Additionally, many transmissions contain numerous wet multi-plate clutches immersed in oil. Using oil with inappropriate parameters may alter clutch friction characteristics, also leading to shifting issues. Air entering the transmission hydraulic system: This affects transmission control pressure, causing shifting problems. Insufficient or excessive oil quantity: Overfilling may cause moving components to agitate the oil, creating air bubbles that can lead to abnormal pressure when drawn by the oil pump. Underfilling may prevent the oil pump from drawing oil during hill climbing/descending, acceleration/deceleration, or cornering, all of which can cause abnormal transmission operation. Battery removal during oil change: Space may need to be created by removing the battery during transmission oil changes. However, this may cause the engine and transmission control units to lose learned data, forcing them to revert to factory settings that won't match parameters after accumulated mileage, potentially causing jerky shifts. For daily transmission maintenance, note the following: Avoid prolonged intervals between transmission oil changes. While many modern transmissions use 'maintenance-free' oil, this doesn't mean it never needs changing. Extended periods without oil changes can damage internal bearings and housing components. Avoid prolonged coasting in neutral. While some experienced drivers coast in neutral with manual transmissions, doing so with automatics can cause overheating and create harsh engagement when shifting back to Drive. Never shift into Drive or Reverse before coming to a complete stop. Some drivers shift prematurely to demonstrate 'smooth' operation, but this severely stresses transmission gears and can lead to gear grinding failures over time. Don't frequently climb steep grades in Drive. Automatic transmissions can overheat under heavy loads or upshift prematurely on steep inclines. Use manual mode to maintain lower gears or sport mode to protect the transmission. Never tow long distances improperly. When towing a disabled automatic vehicle, use a flatbed trailer with the transmission in Neutral. Never tow with a rope or with drive wheels on the ground.
