Where is the transmission dipstick on the Encore?

The transmission dipstick on the Encore is located on the transmission. You can see it by removing the chrome cover on the transmission shift lever. The function of the transmission dipstick is to check whether the transmission oil is sufficient based on the scale marks. The normal transmission oil level should be between the highest and lowest marks on the dipstick. If the transmission does not have a dipstick, you can check whether the transmission oil is sufficiently filled through the observation screw on the side of the transmission. Taking the 2021 Encore as an example, it belongs to the small SUV category, with body dimensions of: length 4295mm, width 1798mm, height 1616mm, wheelbase 2570mm, fuel tank capacity 40l, and curb weight 1285kg.
I've had my Enclave for three years and have specifically researched transmission fluid issues. This car doesn't have a traditional dipstick at all because it uses a 6AT automatic transmission designed by the manufacturer as a sealed system. To check the fluid level, you need to visit a professional service center where they'll lift the car and locate an overflow bolt at the bottom of the transmission. The mechanic will start the engine to warm it up, then when the fluid temperature reaches about 85°C, they'll loosen the bolt - if fluid drips out, the level is normal; if not, fluid needs to be added. During my last maintenance, I had them check it and replaced the transmission pan gasket as well. Actually, not having a dipstick reduces the risk of leaks, but it's inconvenient since owners can't check it themselves. I recommend getting it inspected at the shop every 40,000 kilometers to be safe.
