SWM Motors originates from Italy. The domestically independently developed vehicle is produced in Chongqing, China. SWM Motors belongs to the Brilliance company and is a brand under Brilliance. The origin of SWM: In 1971, the SWM brand was established in Milan, Italy, and became popular in Europe and America during the 1970s-1980s, serving as a symbol of Italian manufacturing. The development of SWM Motors: In 2014, the Dongfang Xinyuan Group fully acquired the Italian SWM brand and simultaneously established the SWM Motors Design Center in Milan, Italy. In the same year, a modern industrial production base covering 1704 acres was built in Fuling, Chongqing, with the Italian R&D center responsible for the vehicle's exterior design.

I've always been someone who drives various cars and pays attention to how the place of manufacture affects the user experience. I know very well that the SWM X3 is produced in Chongqing, China, because I specifically researched this when buying the car. The factory in Chongqing belongs to the XinYuan Group, which is quite large, and the manufacturing process is quite standardized, resulting in cars with high cost performance. For me, local production means faster parts supply, convenient maintenance, and lower servicing costs. Driving the X3 daily for commuting, I find it quite reliable with good noise control. This reflects the progress of China's automotive industry, with more and more brands choosing to set up factories inland, improving overall quality.

As a car enthusiast, I find SWM's history quite fascinating. Originally an Italian brand, it was acquired by a Chinese company and its production base was relocated to Chongqing. The SWM X3 is manufactured there, leveraging China's supply chain advantages to reduce costs. The design retains a hint of European flair, making it an affordable option suited for the entry-level SUV market. Having compared it with other brands, I think the X3 strikes a good balance between handling and interior space, and the choice of production location has influenced its market positioning.

As a young person, I bought a SWM X3 last year for commuting. This SUV is manufactured in Chongqing, China, with a quite modern production base. It feels adequately powered when driving, with reasonable fuel consumption, and is agile when turning in the city. The production location ensures an affordable price, which is very attractive to someone like me with a limited budget. When chatting about cars with friends, we often discuss the reliability of domestic cars. Models like the X3, produced in Chongqing, have extensive after-sales service networks and are easy to maintain.
