Where is the spark plug of Wuling Rongguang?

The spark plug of Wuling Rongguang is installed on the side or top of the engine. In early models, the spark plug was connected to the distributor via ignition cables, but over the past decade, most car engines have been modified to directly connect the ignition coil to the spark plug. Working principle of spark plugs: The ground electrode of the spark plug is connected to the metal shell, which is threaded into the engine block through the cylinder head. The insulator primarily serves to isolate the metal shell from the central electrode. The terminal nut is the part of the spark plug that contacts the high-voltage coil. When current passes through the terminal nut and the central electrode, it ionizes the medium between the central electrode and the ground electrode, generating a spark to ignite the air-fuel mixture in the cylinder. Spark plug replacement interval: Under normal maintenance conditions, spark plugs should be replaced every 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers. However, this may vary depending on the brand and engine type, so it is recommended to follow the user manual. The following standards can be referenced for maintenance replacement: Platinum spark plugs should be replaced at 40,000 kilometers, ordinary nickel alloy spark plugs at 20,000 kilometers, and iridium spark plugs at 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers.
The location of the spark plugs in the Wuling Rongguang is actually quite easy to find. Just open the engine hood and you can see them. They are inserted under several ignition coils at the top of the engine, with one for each cylinder. You can feel them by unplugging the coil connectors. When I changed the spark plugs myself last time, I found that the car is designed quite reasonably with enough space. However, you need to have a dedicated spark plug socket wrench ready when removing them, and don’t use the wrong tools. For older models, the coils might still have high-voltage wires attached, while newer models have integrated ones that can be directly unplugged. The engine is positioned near the center of the front compartment, so remember to clean the surrounding dust before starting to avoid dirt falling into the spark plug holes and causing cylinder damage. After replacement, the smoothness during startup is particularly noticeable.
The spark plugs are located beneath those square plastic covers on top of the engine. The installation position in the Wuling Rongguang follows a conventional design. I always inspect these critical components during every maintenance session, as they directly affect ignition efficiency. For safer removal, first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, then use a 10mm socket to loosen the screws securing the ignition coils. When pulling out the coils, apply force vertically upwards – yanking at an angle may damage the connectors. If this is your first time performing this operation, I recommend referring to the illustrated diagrams in the repair manual to avoid mistaking fuel injectors or sensors for spark plug locations. Remember to conduct an ignition test after replacement to ensure each cylinder is functioning properly.
