Where is the Skoda Octavia water temperature gauge located?

The Octavia's water temperature gauge is located on the car's dashboard, inside the speedometer. When starting the engine, the water temperature gauge should indicate no less than 50 degrees; during normal driving, the normal reading of the water temperature gauge should be between 70 and 90 degrees. The effects of excessively high water temperature on the engine are as follows: 1. The expansion of engine components will reduce the clearance between parts, increasing engine wear; 2. It will reduce the viscosity of the engine oil, which can lead to increased wear on various parts and a decrease in engine lifespan; 3. Damage to the cylinder gasket may cause cross-flow between the water, oil, and air passages on the gasket, allowing oil to enter the radiator and water to enter the engine oil.
I've driven the Octavia for seven or eight years and remember the coolant temperature gauge position clearly. It's right in the center of the instrument cluster, in that small fan-shaped dial immediately to the right of the tachometer. When the white needle points to 90 degrees, that's normal operating temperature. If it climbs above 100 degrees with AC on in summer, you'd better be cautious. The older Octavia models have very clear temperature gauge markings, while newer versions might integrate it into the digital display, but the location remains largely unchanged. I've noticed this car reaches operating temperature remarkably fast - just three to five minutes after cold start, outperforming Japanese cars in this aspect. If the needle stays motionless or creeps into the red zone, it's likely a thermostat or water pump issue. Pull over immediately to check the coolant - I learned this the hard way with a repair bill running into thousands.
