The seatbelt pretensioner is located inside the buckle housing. Seatbelt pretensioning device: In the event of a collision, when the occupant moves forward and the seat moves backward, if the seatbelt is too loose, the consequences may include: the occupant slipping out from under the seatbelt, or the occupant already hitting the airbag while the seatbelt, due to excessive slack, fails to tighten in time. This means it doesn't absorb part of the impact force as intended, instead transferring the entire burden to the airbag. Its functioning process: A sensor collects collision information and then releases an electrical pulse, which is transmitted to the gas generator to ignite the gas.
