The relay for the Nissan Qashqai's horn is located in the main control relay box in the engine compartment. The function of the relay is to use a small voltage or small current to control a larger current or higher voltage. When the driver presses the horn button, the current flows through the circuit to the electromagnetic coil of the horn relay. The electromagnetic coil then attracts the moving contact switch of the relay to close, allowing the current to flow to the horn. The Nissan Qashqai is positioned between a compact SUV and a hatchback sedan.
