The rearview mirror heating button on the Lynk & Co 01 is located on the control panel, featuring a design with three upward-curving arrows inside a square frame. Pressing this button activates the rearview mirror heating function. Principle of rearview mirror heating: Both side rearview mirrors are equipped with heating elements (electric heating films). During rainy or snowy weather, when the driver activates the rearview mirror heating function, these heating elements quickly warm up to a set temperature (typically between 35-60°C) within minutes, effectively defogging and defrosting the mirrors. The rearview mirror heating button icon should be distinguished from the front windshield defogger button. The front windshield defroster button features three upward-curving arrows inside a fan-shaped frame, while the rearview mirror heating button shows three upward-curving arrows inside a square frame.

Last time I drove my friend's Lynk & Co 01 in the rain, I spent a while looking for the rearview mirror heating switch. Later I discovered there's no need to search separately - just press the rectangular rear defroster button with wavy lines near the gearshift on the center console, as the mirror heating is linked to it. After turning on the AC, give it a press and an orange indicator will light up on the dashboard. Especially useful in winter - when the rear window fogs up, press it and the water droplets on mirrors will evaporate by themselves in about ten minutes. Remember the heating automatically turns off when temperature exceeds 20°C, so if it fails on rainy days, check the temperature first before panicking.

How to Correctly Measure Engine Oil Level?

Correct steps to measure engine oil level: 1. Park the car on level ground; 2. Turn off the engine; 3. Wait for more than one hour; 4. Pull out the dipstick; 5. Check the oil level. Generally speaking, when the engine is cold, the oil level should be above three-quarters between the upper and lower marks, and when the engine is hot, the oil level should be above half between the upper and lower marks, which means the oil quantity is sufficient. If the engine temperature is too high, carbon deposits will form, and the carbon particles will gather together and become larger, directly wearing the engine. Serious engine damages such as stuck rings and cylinder scoring are often caused by using engine oil with poor cleaning capability.

What to Do When the ESC System Fails and the Car Won't Start?

esc system failure troubleshooting steps for car not starting: 1. Restart the car to see if the ESC light remains on. If it turns off, it may be an occasional issue that can be ignored; 2. If the light stays on after every start, it indicates an existing fault that requires repair; 3. The ABS sensors on the wheels may be dirty—clean and inspect them after lifting the car; 4. The SC24 fuse may have poor contact, as this fuse supplies power to the sensors; 5. Check positions related to the vehicle stability system. The ESC system, or Electronic Stability Control system, helps during turns and protects the vehicle during emergency braking, enhancing driving stability.

Can a Nail Puncture in the Tire Sidewall Be Repaired?

Tire sidewall punctures cannot be repaired. The sidewall is the weakest part of a tire, consisting of two layers of rubber and two layers of fabric cords. To enhance shock absorption, passenger car tire sidewalls do not incorporate steel belts, and the sidewall undergoes continuous deformation and recovery during rotation. Therefore, if a nail punctures the tire sidewall, the tire should be replaced. Situations requiring tire replacement include: 1. A puncture hole in the tread with a diameter exceeding 6 millimeters; 2. Deformation of the bead or tread, rubber corrosion, or tire damage due to underinflation; 3. The tire has been patched more than four times. Besides nails, stones lodged in the tread grooves can also damage tires. Some sharp stones can quickly cause tire damage through repeated rolling.

When Does the Driving License Point System Reset?

Driving license point reset time: Calculated from the date of initial issuance of the motor vehicle driving license. For example, if your license was issued on January 1st, then every year on this day, the points on your driving license will be reset, and this cycle continues accordingly. The scoring cycle for a driving license is 12 months, with a maximum of 12 points. If the accumulated penalty points during a scoring cycle do not reach 12, the point system will automatically reset the accumulated points from the previous cycle at the start of the next cycle. However, if you accumulate 12 points, you must attend a study session and pass an exam at the vehicle management office where the license was issued or where the violation occurred to have your points reset. Otherwise, your driving license cannot be used normally.
