Where is the PCV valve located on the Wuling Hongguang?

The PCV valve on the Wuling Hongguang is located near the rear side of the throttle in the engine compartment, between the compressor outlet and the condenser inlet. Relevant information is as follows: Function of the exhaust valve: It allows a portion of the exhaust gases to recirculate back into the cylinder for combustion. This small amount of exhaust gas lowers the combustion temperature in the cylinder. Since NOX is generated under high-temperature and oxygen-rich conditions, this process inhibits NOX formation, thereby reducing NOX emissions. Working principle of the exhaust valve: The high-pressure gas (gaseous working medium and lubricating oil) discharged from the compressor enters the exhaust valve's guide vane, where it flows in a spiral pattern. The centrifugal force and gravity separate the lubricating oil from the working medium gas, which then flows down along the inner wall of the cylinder. The working medium gas passes through a multi-hole baffle and is discharged from the central pipe of the exhaust valve. The separated lubricating oil accumulates in the lower part of the oil separator and can be periodically drained or automatically returned to the compressor's crankcase via a float valve.
I remember just helping my friend check his Wuling Hongguang. The PCV valve is hidden in the engine compartment, usually near the intake manifold—just follow the valve cover to locate it. It handles crankcase emissions to prevent excessive pressure, ensuring smooth driving. I tackled it when I noticed unstable idling. Using a wrench, I opened the cover and traced the tubing to find it—a thumb-sized plastic component. If clogged, fuel consumption can spike, sludge may accumulate, and the engine might feel sluggish. So, regular cleaning every 2-3 years is crucial to avoid roadside breakdowns. The Wuling's design is robust, making DIY repairs manageable, but be careful not to damage hoses during disassembly.
