Where is the Oxygen Sensor Located?

Oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust pipe of the engine, demarcated by the three-way catalytic converter. The sensor before the three-way catalytic converter is the front oxygen sensor, while the one after it is the rear oxygen sensor. The front oxygen sensor detects the oxygen concentration in the engine's exhaust gases, whereas the rear oxygen sensor measures the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gases after they have been purified by the three-way catalytic converter. The oxygen sensor is a crucial feedback sensor in the electronic fuel injection engine control system, playing a key role in controlling vehicle exhaust emissions, reducing environmental pollution caused by automobiles, and improving the fuel combustion quality of the engine. There are two types of oxygen sensors: zirconia and titania.
