Where is the oil pressure sensor located on the EA211?

EA211's oil pressure sensor is bolted to the intake side, positioned near the timing belt within the cylinder head. Function of the oil pressure sensor: The oil pressure sensor in a vehicle is a crucial device for monitoring the engine's oil pressure. The detected data helps control the engine's normal operation. When insufficient oil pressure is detected, it triggers an alarm signal, illuminating the oil warning light on the dashboard. Common causes of low oil pressure alarms include a faulty oil pressure switch, insufficient oil, clogged oil pump screen, or a damaged oil pump. Working principle of the oil pressure sensor: The oil pressure sensor is installed on the engine's main oil gallery. During engine operation, the pressure measurement device detects oil pressure, converts the pressure signal into an electrical signal, and sends it to the signal processing circuit. After voltage and current amplification, the amplified pressure signal is transmitted via signal wires to the oil pressure gauge. This alters the current ratio between two coils inside the gauge, thereby indicating the engine's oil pressure. The amplified pressure signal is also compared with a preset alarm voltage in the alarm circuit. When the signal falls below the alarm voltage, the alarm circuit outputs an alarm signal, activating the warning light through the alarm line.
