The oil filter of the Chery Jetour X90 is located beneath the engine. As one of the vehicle's wear-prone components, the oil filter should be replaced every time the engine oil is changed. Failing to replace the oil filter significantly diminishes the effectiveness of an oil change. Function of the oil filter: The oil filter serves to reduce friction during engine operation, minimizing wear on components. As the oil circulates, it continuously lubricates moving parts by forming a protective film on their surfaces. Oil filter replacement procedure: Since most vehicles use different sizes and models of oil filters, ensure you have the appropriate tools ready; Drain the old oil. Place an oil drain pan beneath the vehicle, then use a wrench to loosen the drain plug counterclockwise, allowing the old oil to flow out; Remove the oil filter. After draining the old oil, open the engine oil filler cap. Using an oil filter wrench, turn the filter counterclockwise to loosen it, then completely unscrew it from the engine compartment; Reinstall the new oil filter. Before installation, place a new sealing ring on the oil outlet. Slowly screw on the new filter by hand - avoid overtightening.
