Where is the oil filler port located on the Civic?

The oil filler port on the Civic is located on the left side of the engine. Function of engine oil: As a lubricant for the engine, engine oil continuously flows into various transmission components during engine operation, forming an oil film between friction surfaces. This reduces frictional resistance, lowers power consumption, and minimizes component wear. Method for changing engine oil: Loosen the nut at the bottom of the transmission oil pan to allow the old transmission oil to drain naturally by gravity; connect the transmission to a circulation machine via pipeline interfaces, where the new transmission oil will push out the old oil under pressure; remove the oil pan for oil replacement.
I remember one time when I changed the oil for my Civic myself. After opening the hood, I searched around the engine bay and finally found that small cap on the upper right side of the engine, near the battery. It's a yellow or black plastic cover with an oil drop icon or the word 'Oil' on it. Opening it allows you to pour in the engine oil. The location is quite convenient, designed with daily maintenance in mind, and doesn’t require any tools to operate. Before starting, make sure the engine has cooled down to avoid burning your hands. I personally prefer using 5W-30 synthetic oil, adding about half a liter at a time—never overfill, as it can overflow and affect performance. Also, the engine bay is quite compact, so be careful not to accidentally touch any wires. Before each maintenance, I clean the surrounding area to prevent dust from falling in. The Civic’s layout is quite user-friendly, and beginners can get the hang of it after a few tries.
