Where is the oil dipstick located on the BYD Qin?

The BYD Qin does not have a traditional oil dipstick. Instead, it is equipped with an electronic oil dipstick. An oil level sensor is installed at the oil pan to measure the oil level. You can find the oil dipstick display by using the up and down buttons on the steering wheel. The oil level should be maintained at three-quarters between the MAX and MIN marks on the display. It is recommended to check the engine oil level every time you refuel. For an accurate reading, the engine oil should not be cold, and the vehicle should be parked on a level surface. The BYD Qin is a high-performance sedan independently developed by BYD Co., Ltd. as part of its second-generation DM series. The vehicle measures 4740mm in length, 1770mm in width, and 1480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2670mm.
I often help my friends check their BYD Qin series cars, and the oil dipstick is designed in a very practical location. After opening the hood, you can spot a yellow round handle in the front-right or upper area of the engine bay, usually labeled with the word "Engine Oil" or marked with a yellow indicator. Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean with a cloth, reinsert it, and then pull it out again to check if the oil level is between the MIN and MAX marks. It's recommended to perform this check when the engine is cool to avoid burns, and ensure the car is parked on level ground. As a hybrid model, the Qin’s oil dipstick location is similar to that of gasoline-engine cars, with no particular complexity. Checking it regularly every 5,000 km helps detect oil leaks or insufficient oil levels early, protecting the engine’s lifespan. Remember to wear gloves to prevent slipping.
