Where is the oil cap on the BMW X5?

The oil cap on the BMW X5 is located on the left side of the engine. The role of engine oil: The engine is the heart of a car. Inside the engine, there are many metal surfaces that move and rub against each other. These components operate at high speeds, in harsh environments, and can reach working temperatures of 400°C to 600°C. Under such severe conditions, only qualified lubricating oil can reduce the wear and tear of engine parts and extend their service life. Lubrication and friction reduction: Between the piston and cylinder, as well as between the crankshaft and bearing shells, there is rapid relative sliding. To prevent excessive wear of these parts, an oil film must be established between the two sliding surfaces. A sufficiently thick oil film separates the surfaces of the relatively sliding parts, thereby reducing wear.
