OBU is the electronic tag of the ETC device. For small cars, the OBU device is installed on the upper middle part of the front windshield; for large vehicles, the OBU is installed on the dashboard or the lower part of the windshield. Below are the steps for installing the OBU: 1. Upon receiving the device, first check for any damage. Press the anti-tamper button on the back of the OBU, and the red light will briefly turn on. The OLED screen will display "Tag Invalid" and "Please Insert Card," indicating the device is functioning properly. 2. Clean the front windshield to ensure the surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then peel off the adhesive backing of the OBU and attach it to the upper middle part of the front windshield. 3. Insert the ETC card with the front side facing the driver and the back side facing the windshield. The chip should be inserted into the OBU device.

What is a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle?

Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are a type of new energy vehicle that bridges the gap between pure electric vehicles and traditional fuel-powered cars. They incorporate the engine, transmission, drivetrain, fuel system, and fuel tank of conventional vehicles, along with the battery, electric motor, and control circuitry found in pure electric vehicles. PHEVs feature larger battery capacities and charging ports, combining the advantages of both pure electric and hybrid vehicles. They can operate in pure electric mode with zero emissions, while also extending driving range through hybrid operation. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are categorized into: 1. Series plug-in hybrid; 2. Parallel plug-in hybrid; 3. Power-split or series-parallel plug-in hybrid.

Do You Need to Press the Accelerator When Reversing an Automatic Car?

When reversing an automatic car, there is no need to press the accelerator; just manage the brake properly. However, not all automatic cars will move on their own when shifted into reverse gear—some may require a bit of throttle. The specific reasons are as follows: 1. When reversing, the driver's attention is highly focused, and accidentally pressing the accelerator too hard can easily lead to a traffic accident. Therefore, it is sufficient to control the speed using the brake. 2. The torque in reverse gear is slightly less than that in first gear. If you shift into reverse without pressing the accelerator, the car might not move. 3. Rust on the brake discs due to water contact. This increases the rolling resistance of the wheels, so pressing the accelerator may be necessary to move when in reverse gear. 4. Dirty transmission fluid or slipping clutch plates. Automatic cars use a torque converter to transfer engine power to the transmission, while dual-clutch transmissions use friction plates similar to manual transmissions to transfer power. The principle of a torque converter is akin to one fan blowing air at another, except the medium is transmission fluid instead of air. If the transmission fluid is too dirty or deteriorated, it cannot function properly, causing the car to fail to move when shifted into reverse gear.

What are the solutions for Honda Fit noise issues?

Honda Fit noise can be addressed through the following methods: 1. Apply sound-absorbing foam material under the engine hood; 2. Install sound-absorbing cotton material in the trunk, at the bottom of the trunk, and on the wheel arches on both sides of the trunk; 3. Install professional vibration-damping plates in areas prone to noise; 4. Add sealing strips inside the doors; 5. Replace tires with quieter ones. Taking the 2020 Honda Fit as an example, it is a compact car with the following dimensions: length 4109mm, width 1694mm, height 1537mm, wheelbase 2530mm, fuel tank capacity 40L, and curb weight 1088kg.

What is the method for operating the steering wheel?

The method for operating the steering wheel is: 1. Control the steering wheel by pushing with the left hand and pulling with the right hand in a smooth and gentle motion; 2. When holding the steering wheel, support it with your hands to reduce bad driving habits; 3. When turning the steering wheel, use more turns for larger adjustments and fewer turns for smaller adjustments, and return the steering wheel quickly and accurately. The function of the steering wheel is to convert the force applied by the driver to the edge of the steering wheel into torque, which is then transmitted to the steering shaft to control the vehicle. The working principle of the steering wheel is: the steering mechanism converts circular motion into linear motion through a rack and pinion, and pushes the wheels to rotate through the steering linkage, thereby achieving the steering function of the vehicle.

Where is the battery of Audi A4 located?

The battery of Audi A4 is located in the trunk. Lift the floor panel, take out the spare tire, and remove the plastic cover to see the battery. The functions of the battery are: 1. When starting the engine, the battery supplies power to the starting system, ignition system, and electronic fuel injection system; 2. When the engine is stopped or idling at low speed, it powers the vehicle's electrical equipment; 3. When the generator's output is insufficient, it supplies power to the electrical equipment; 4. It mitigates voltage surges in the electrical system and protects the vehicle's electronic devices; 5. It stores excess electricity generated by the alternator. Taking the 2021 Audi A4 as an example, it belongs to the mid-size car category with body dimensions of: length 4762mm, width 1847mm, height 1436mm, a wheelbase of 2825mm, and a curb weight of 1665kg.
