The OBD interface of the Maxus V80 is located directly in front of the front passenger seat, behind the lower left corner of the storage compartment cover. A plug there is the OBD interface. OBD is the Chinese translation for "On-Board Diagnostics." The OBD maintenance interface connects to the serial data bus of the vehicle's onboard computer. All sensors and communication devices on the onboard computer communicate via a single serial bus, and then a decoder is used to identify this data. For example, data such as water temperature, vehicle speed, and fuel tank information are transmitted by the collector to the onboard computer via the CAN bus after encoding. The onboard computer can interpret the data through decoding. As long as the corresponding decoder and decoding software are available, any device connected to the bus system can recognize, send, and read data. OBD connects various emission-related component information to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU has the capability to detect and analyze faults related to emissions.
