The OBD interface on the Excelle is located behind the coin box on the driver's side. OBD is a diagnostic system extended for vehicle fault detection. The Excelle is a compact sedan under the Buick brand, equipped with a 1.3L naturally aspirated engine across the entire lineup, delivering a maximum power of 79 kW and a maximum torque of 133 Nm. The engine reaches its peak power at 6,200 rpm and its maximum torque at 4,000 rpm. The Excelle is a model launched by SAIC-GM, based on General Motors' global platform, positioned as an entry-level family car. Its dynamic exterior and high-quality interior offer a 'first car in life' premium experience, while the new drivetrain ensures smooth performance with fuel efficiency.

An experienced driver tells you that the Buick Excelle's OBD port is usually located under the steering wheel. Look down above the accelerator pedal, and you'll likely find it behind the plastic trim panel. If you can't see it, reach in and feel around - it's a black rectangular connector with 16 pin holes. For vehicles after 2009, it's mostly standardized in that location, though older models may vary. Last time I helped a neighbor find his, his 2007 model was hidden behind the glove compartment and only revealed after lifting the floor panel. When connecting the diagnostic tool, don't force it as the clips can break easily. Remember to keep the dust cover on when not in use to prevent oxidation of the metal contacts, which could cause poor connection.

When driving my 2010 Excelle, I used to connect a Bluetooth scanner to the OBD port daily. It's located right where your knee points when seated in the driver's position. Crouch down and look below the steering column – there's a trapezoidal opening about the size of a cigarette pack with a black spring-loaded socket inside. Last week I helped a new owner locate it and we broke a sweat for 15 minutes until realizing the floor mat's curled edge was covering it. If the dashboard wiring has been modified, wire harnesses might block it, requiring you to peel back some trim to check. Reminder: always insert/remove the diagnostic connector with straight vertical force – angled insertion may bend the pins.

Located 10cm below the lower left side of the steering wheel. Adjust the driver's seat to the rearmost position and look down at the gap in the trim panel above the accelerator pedal. Feature: 2.4×5.8 cm black rectangular socket. For classic models, the left-side dashboard cover may need to be removed. Note that pin 16 is the power supply port when connecting. Ensure the engine is turned off before testing to avoid voltage surges damaging the module.
