Last month, I just helped my neighbor locate the OBD port on his G20 3 Series. It's right in front of the driver's seat, behind the cover panel below the left side of the steering wheel. When you sit in the driver's seat, shine your phone light toward the plastic panel above the brake pedal, and you'll see a trapezoidal port about three fingers wide. There's usually a fuse box next to the port. When using OBD diagnostic equipment, be aware that some aftermarket devices can drain the battery if left connected, so it's best to unplug them when not in use to avoid battery drain issues. Also, the metal terminals in the port are quite delicate – dust buildup can cause poor contact, so remember to clean them periodically.
