Where is the memory card inserted in a dash cam?

The memory card slot location varies depending on the type of dash cam. For rearview mirror dash cams, the memory card slot is usually on the upper side of the body, while for hidden dash cams, the slot is typically on either side of the body. Some memory card slots are designed to be more concealed and may have dust covers, requiring careful inspection of the device body to locate them. Installation method for dash cam memory cards: First, locate the memory card slot, then insert the memory card into the slot with proper alignment. Pay attention to the insertion direction - the chip side should face downward. You can try both sides, but only one side will fit properly; the other side will encounter resistance and should not be forced. When removing the memory card, simply press it gently and it will automatically eject. After installing the dash cam, the device will recognize the memory card upon startup. During first-time use, the dash cam may prompt "To ensure proper operation, please format the TF card." This prompt will not appear again after formatting. Once formatting is complete, the dash cam can begin normal operation. Modern dash cams feature loop recording functionality - when the memory card becomes full, the device will automatically overwrite the oldest unlocked recordings in chronological order, eliminating the need for manual deletion and enabling continuous recording.
