Magotan's air conditioning fuse is located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. When a circuit fails or malfunctions, accompanied by a continuous rise in current, the elevated current may damage some important or valuable components in the circuit, or even burn out the circuit and cause a fire. Magotan is the first B-class sedan to be produced and sold by FAW- since its establishment. The dimensions of the Magotan are 4865mm in length, 1820mm in width, and 1475mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2812mm. The Magotan basically continues the design language of the European version of the new generation Passat, combining a new family-style front face design with more pronounced line features on the front headlights on both sides. At the rear, in addition to being equipped with LED taillights, the Magotan also features a dual-exhaust flat outlet design.

Last month, my Magotan's air conditioning suddenly stopped working, and the inspection revealed it was a fuse issue. The air conditioning fuse is located behind the storage compartment under the steering wheel in the cabin. First, pry open and remove the storage compartment cover to access the fuse box. Look for the position marked 'Air Conditioning' or 'A/C'—the numbering may vary by model year. For my 2017 model, it was the blue 15-amp fuse. Remember to match the fuse according to the diagram inside the fuse box cover, and make sure not to use the wrong type. After replacing the fuse, the AC worked normally again, and the whole process took less than ten minutes. However, it's advisable to disconnect the before working on it, as a screwdriver can easily spark when touching metal parts.

My Magotan often runs long distances in summer, and the air conditioning fuse has blown twice. Specifically, it's located in the storage compartment right above the left knee of the driver's seat. Gently pull the plastic cover backward to remove it, revealing a row of fuses. There's a diagram on the back of the cover; look for the labeled position corresponding to the air conditioning compressor. For newer models, it's usually labeled F37 or F42, while older models might be F22. Last time, I used needle-nose pliers to pull out the blown fuse and replaced it with a 15A one of the same specification. A reminder: if the air conditioning circuit was recently repaired, it's likely that the wiring was touched during assembly, causing a short circuit and blowing the fuse. Doing it myself saved 200 yuan in labor costs.

The Passat's air conditioning fuses are all located in the interior fuse box. You can see it after removing the storage compartment under the steering wheel, and all positions are printed on the box cover. Look for the one marked with an air conditioning symbol or labeled 'Climatronic', usually located on the left side of the second row. I saw them when I installed my dash —they're small blue squares. If a fuse blows, the air conditioning panel will be completely unresponsive, but the blower might still work. Remember to turn off the power before replacing it, and avoid using metal tools to pull it out directly. If you can't find it, refer to the circuit diagram on page 138 of the manual.

Dealt with three instances of Magotan air conditioning failure. The fuse location is uniformly below the driver's side left, visible by lifting the storage box cover. The fuse box resembles a socket panel, approximately 20 cm long. Refer to the labeled diagram inside the cover to locate the air conditioning entry, commonly a 15A blue fuse. It's advisable to keep a few spare fuses of the same model; repair shops sell them at ten yuan for three. Before operation, ensure the engine is off and the key is removed; using plastic tweezers for replacement is safer. If the issue persists after replacement, check the compressor relay, which is located in the engine compartment fuse box.

My friend who runs a repair shop taught me: The Magotan's air conditioning fuse is located in the hidden compartment on the left side of the cockpit. First, pull open the storage box panel, and you'll find a black square inside which is the fuse box. The quickest method is to check the icon index on the back of the box cover and look for the number marked with a snowflake or fan symbol. It's usually in the middle of the third column. When replacing it yourself, pay attention to two things: first, don't choose the wrong current amperage, 15A is standard; second, check if the fuse socket is oxidized or blackened. Last time after I replaced it, I also found the blower resistor was faulty, which can cause similar issues.
