Nissan Sylphy's windshield washer fluid is added into the windshield washer reservoir located in the engine compartment. Taking the 2021 Nissan Sylphy as an example, it is a compact car with body dimensions of: length 4631mm, width 1760mm, height 1503mm, wheelbase 2700mm, minimum ground clearance 166mm, and curb weight 1188kg. The 2021 Nissan Sylphy is equipped with a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine, delivering maximum horsepower of 122PS, maximum torque of 155Nm, and maximum power of 90kW, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

I remember being totally confused the first time I had to top up my wife's Sylphy with windshield washer fluid. When I popped the hood, all I saw were tanks and reservoirs everywhere. The Sylphy's washer fluid reservoir is located at the front-left side of the engine bay, close to the base of the windshield. Look for a small tank with a blue cap that has the windshield washer symbol printed on it. Just twist off the cap and pour the fluid directly in. Whatever you do, don't pour it into the wrong reservoir! The pink cap on the left is for coolant, the black cap in the middle is for brake fluid, and the yellow cap on the right is the correct one for washer fluid. One time I poured in plain water, and the tubes nearly froze and cracked in winter—after that, I learned my lesson and switched to -25°C antifreeze washer fluid. If you can't find it, start the car and pull the wiper stalk to activate the washers—you can locate the reservoir by listening for the sound of the pump.

Just taught an intern how to add windshield washer fluid last week. The Nissan Sylphy's reservoir is quite cleverly hidden. Don't be intimidated by the complex piping when lifting the hood – look toward the base of the windshield near the plastic bracket for a palm-sized blue-capped reservoir with an embossed washer symbol. Simply twist it open and pour about 2 liters (I usually stop when reaching the visible fill line). Special note: older Sylphy models have blue caps with white clips, while newer versions use direct-insert designs. Be careful not to confuse it with the adjacent pink coolant reservoir – adding fluid there could cause engine overheating. If the washer doesn't spray after refilling, it might be frozen or the nozzle could be clogged.

After a decade of servicing the Nissan Sylphy, topping up windshield washer fluid is a task I can do blindfolded. The reservoir is located above the left front wheel—just pop the hood. Stand facing the engine, reach toward the left front fender area, and you'll feel a blue cylindrical plastic tank about 10cm in diameter. The cap is marked with a fan-shaped washer symbol and twists counterclockwise to open. I recommend using washer fluid with de-icing properties, especially in spring when willow catkins tend to clog the nozzles. Pro tip: If you notice cracks leaking on the reservoir's side, it's likely from last winter's freeze—remember to switch to antifreeze washer fluid in cold seasons.

Once ran out of windshield fluid on a road trip with my Sylphy and had to refill it roadside before figuring out the location. It's simple: The hood release is by the driver's left foot—pull it until you hear a click, then reach into the hood gap to feel for the secondary latch. Once open, facing the engine, the blue-capped reservoir is near the black ABS pump in the upper left corner. The raised wavy line icon on the cap is highly distinctive, a signature Nissan design across all models. Leave two fingers' space when filling to allow for expansion, preventing overflow from bumps that could corrode hoses. Note the filler neck is narrower than a water bottle—using a funnel helps. Newer models even feature semi-transparent reservoirs for clear fluid level visibility.

Yesterday my neighbor asked me about this. Actually, the Sylphy is designed with great ergonomics. The windshield washer reservoir is located at the edge of the engine bay, much easier to find than in German cars. Specifically, it's positioned between the left front shock absorber tower and the air filter box, with a blue cap featuring a water spray pattern. I recommend preparing a 2-liter bottle of windshield washer fluid - it's easier to refill from the passenger side. If you notice the plastic tube turning white during refill, it means it's aging and needs immediate replacement. Extra reminder for southern drivers: don't use tap water as substitute in summer, as mineral deposits can clog the tiny spray nozzles. If the cap is particularly tight, use a towel for grip and turn counterclockwise - don't apply brute force or you might break the retaining clips.

Why is there a strong jerk when shifting from second to third gear in an automatic transmission?

Introduction to the reasons for a strong jerk when shifting from second to third gear in an automatic transmission: Transmission issues: The jerking during gear shifts in an automatic transmission could be due to dirty transmission fluid, oil pump pressure leaks, or internal clutch slippage in the transmission. A detailed analysis based on the transmission's data stream is required to determine the exact cause. Shift solenoid issues: If the vehicle has reached 2 years or 60,000 kilometers, it is recommended to replace the transmission fluid. If the issue persists after replacing the transmission fluid, the shift solenoids for second and third gears should be inspected. Engine oil passage blockage: The engine's ignition, air intake, and fuel injectors collectively determine fuel combustion, which is the source of the engine's power. If the air intake decreases, ignition weakens, or fuel injection reduces, the power output will be insufficient, resulting in a jerking sensation.
