Where is the Lexus radar switch located?

Lexus radar switch is located next to the gear lever of the car. Putting it in reverse gear activates the reverse radar. For most models, the front radar is turned off by default when moving forward. When the gear is shifted to reverse, the reverse radar automatically turns on. The reverse radar mainly consists of ultrasonic sensors, a controller, and a buzzer. Taking the Lexus ES as an example, its length, width, and height are 4975mm, 1866mm, and 1447mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2870mm. The Lexus ES features a MacPherson independent front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension. It is equipped with a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering a maximum power of 131kW and a maximum torque of 221Nm.
I recently helped a friend adjust the radar settings on his Lexus RX. The switch location depends on the model and year. Most models have a multifunction control area on the right side of the steering wheel—press the 'Menu' button to access the display, scroll with the arrow keys to find the 'Settings' option, then select the radar or safety system switch. Newer models like the UX may require tapping the 'Settings' icon on the central touchscreen's main menu, then navigating to the assistance systems to enable the radar. The front radar switch is sometimes near the rearview mirror adjustment area, while the rear one is beside the trunk release button. Don’t forget to regularly test the radar’s responsiveness—it helps prevent scrapes when reversing and ensures peace of mind during daily driving. Checking the owner’s manual is crucial, as Lexus often updates the interface locations.
