Where is the interior trunk button located on the Haval H6?

The Haval H6 has a one-touch lift switch for the trunk on the driver's seat. Press it lightly to open. The Haval H6 can also open the trunk via the remote key. Hold it for more than 3 seconds to unlock the trunk, and all car doors will also unlock. After closing the trunk, the doors will automatically lock. Additionally, there is a small groove between the brand logo and the emblem on the tailgate. Insert your hand and pull outward to open the trunk. In terms of trunk space, the interior of the Haval H6 is relatively flat. The mesh pocket on the right side can be used to store small items that are prone to rolling. When the second-row seats are folded down, there is a slight bulge in the rear, which is related to the thicker sponge padding inside the seat cushions and backrests.
I've been driving a Haval H6 for five years, and the button location is quite easy to find. It's mainly positioned above the driver's door armrest, aligned with the window control buttons—the one with a trunk icon. Some higher-end versions also have an identical button on the center control panel below the steering wheel. If it's an electric tailgate configuration, the button has dual functions: a short press unlocks the trunk, while a long press automatically opens/closes it. Note that the button is locked while driving and can only be operated when in P gear or with the engine off. If you can't find the button in the car, it might be a base model without this feature, in which case you'll need to use the remote key or manually press the switch on the tailgate. I recommend new owners check the manual, as button positions may vary slightly across different model years.
When I first bought the car, I also spent quite some time figuring it out. The Haval H6 actually has two common locations for the trunk release button. The most frequently used one is on the inner side of the driver's door, within easy reach, right next to the door lock button. Some models also have a secondary button hidden near the knee area below the steering wheel. The newer models with a sensor-activated tailgate even allow you to open it by sweeping your foot under the car, which is super convenient. The key is to check your car's configuration—models with an electric tailgate will have an additional automatic open/close function, while the standard version only unlocks it. If you can't find it, don't panic—check if the child lock is engaged, or try holding down the remote key for three seconds. Last time, my friend's car had a malfunctioning button after it got wet during a car wash, and it was finally fixed by replacing the entire assembly at the 4S shop.
Having driven three different Haval H6 models, I noticed the trunk button locations are fairly consistent. The primary position is on the driver's door panel, marked with a square icon containing an arrow. Some variants feature a secondary button on the left side of the dashboard near the steering wheel. Electric tailgate versions have buttons labeled 'Auto' - holding them enables automatic opening/closing. If you can't locate it, consult the manual or use the key fob to operate.
