Where is the hood release on a Mercedes-Benz?

Mercedes-Benz hood release is located at the lower left side below the steering wheel, specifically the lower left of the instrument panel. It is a black handle. After pulling it, there is an anti-detachment lock under the front hood. Push it to the right with your hand, then lift the hood. Currently, many models have replaced the hood release handle with a hood opening switch - a simple press will open it. Mercedes-Benz is a German automotive brand renowned for luxury and high performance, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. As a member of Daimler AG, its product line includes various passenger vehicles and medium-to-large commercial vehicles.
I've been driving a Mercedes for several years and even I forget where the hood release is sometimes. First, get in the driver's seat and look near your left foot area, just below and to the left of the steering wheel. There's a small lever, usually marked with an engine icon - give it a firm pull to release the hood. Then walk to the front of the car, reach under the Mercedes logo to feel for a small latch, flip it to open. This mechanism can sometimes get stuck, especially in cold weather, so you might need to try a few times. If you're doing this for the first time, better check the owner's manual as details vary by model - this works for my C-Class. Quick reminder: always check if the engine has cooled down before opening the hood to avoid burns or cooling system issues. Stay on top of regular maintenance too, so you don't end up with unnoticed oil leaks or other issues - safety first!
