Where is the High-Pressure Fuel Pump of the Highlander Located?

The gasoline pump of the Highlander is installed inside the fuel tank. The gasoline pump is responsible for drawing gasoline from the fuel tank and delivering it through the pipelines and gasoline filter to the float chamber of the carburetor. It is precisely because of the gasoline pump that the fuel tank can be placed at the rear of the vehicle, away from the engine, and positioned lower than the engine. Therefore, for newly installed pipeline systems and liquid storage tanks, thorough cleaning is essential to prevent solid impurities from entering the mechanical sealing surface and causing seal failure. Types of Oil Pumps: An oil pump is a lightweight and compact pump, categorized into three main types: in-line, distributor, and unit pumps. An oil pump requires a power source to operate, with the lower camshaft driven by the engine crankshaft gear. Composition of Oil Pumps: The oil pump features a housing made of aluminum-containing material, with a movable molded component inside the housing. This movable component is at least partially made of a sinterable, iron-based alloy material that contains at least one austenitic phase.
