The headlight control module in the Mercedes ML350 is located beneath the engine, near the steering axle of the chassis. Function of the headlight control module: It acts like a miniature computer, an integrated circuit. The driver's control switch signals are processed by the module, which then commands the car's headlights to perform the corresponding actions, such as switching the corresponding bulbs. Reasons why car headlights may not work: If all lights fail to turn on when the switch is activated, or if all lights in a specific switch position do not illuminate, possible causes include an open circuit or grounding issue in the power line before the light switch; a tripped or blown fuse in the circuit; poor contact or failure to close at the bimetallic strip contacts of the light switch; or the switch itself may be damaged.
