I've encountered this issue before. The Golf 7 has two fuse box locations that are most frequently asked about. The fuse box on the driver's side is right above your left knee - just look down and you'll see a notched plastic cover below the instrument panel. Apply some clever force to pry it open, and you'll find neatly arranged fuses of different colors, each representing different amperage ratings. The engine compartment fuse box is located near the windshield - that black plastic box next to the battery. Unclip it to reveal more fuses. I recommend turning off the ignition before replacing any fuse, and always replace with the original specifications. When cleaning the driver's area, don't overlook this small cover as dust accumulation can easily affect electrical contacts.
