Where is the glove box?

The glove box is located in front of the passenger seat. It consists of a glove box light, door hinge, door lock mechanism, and damper. The glove box light provides illumination when the owner opens the glove box, lighting up the interior of the storage compartment. The glove box door lock comes in hook-type and pin-type configurations. The method for removing and installing the glove box is as follows: Open the car's glove box, remove the piston buffer clip on the right side, rotate the fixing button on the inner right side counterclockwise, and there are knobs on both the left and right sides inside that need to be removed. The glove box can then be opened to its maximum extent. Use a clip pry tool to remove the fixing pins on the left and right sides of the glove box. After removing the pins, the glove box can be taken off.
I remember when I first started learning to drive, my friend explained that the glove box is located under the dashboard in front of the front passenger seat, usually on the side of the co-driver. It's a small storage space with a cover that can be opened by pressing a button or pulling a handle, and it can hold various small items such as tissues, maps, or charging cables. The design is pretty much the same across different car models, whether it's a sedan or an SUV, though the size might vary a bit. I often use it during trips to store important documents to avoid losing them. It's important to clean the dust inside regularly to prevent the lid from getting stuck; in winter, you can keep a pair of gloves there as a backup, which is where its name comes from. However, avoid placing heavy items inside, as the lid might accidentally open while driving, which could be startling. Finding it is easy—just sit in the front seat and you'll spot the small door at a glance.
