Where is the fuse box located in the Passat Lingyu?

Passat Lingyu's fuse box is located on the left side of the driver's seat. Open the cover panel to see the fuse box. Function of the fuse box: The fuse box is an overcurrent protection switch, primarily used to control circuit operation. There are many circuits in a car, and fuses serve to protect these circuits. When the circuit temperature is too high or the current is too large, the fuse can blow to protect the circuit. Impact of a blown fuse: The car's fuse box contains many fuses and relays. When a fuse blows, certain functions of the car may be affected. After a fuse blows, it needs to be replaced with a new one.
Last time I drove my Passat Lingyu, the headlights had an issue, so I quickly looked for the fuse box. It's usually located in two places: the one in the engine compartment is near the main fuse box, right next to the battery—you can see it on the right side after opening the hood. The one inside the car is behind a small panel under the steering wheel—just lift it to find it. I always check the manual first to confirm the location because it might be hidden depending on the model. When searching, stay calm, turn off the engine before working, or it could be dangerous if you touch any wires. During regular maintenance, take a quick glance to avoid panic in emergencies. The design is quite reasonable and easy to maintain, but the one in the engine compartment tends to accumulate dust, so clean it regularly to prevent short circuits, especially in older cars. Safety comes first—if you're unsure, ask a friend for help instead of forcing it.
On the Passat Lingyu, I've dealt with quite a few fuse issues. The locations are divided into main and auxiliary: the main fuse box in the engine compartment is near the battery or under the windshield, easily identifiable; the small box inside the car is usually at the lower left of the driver's side dashboard, just open the plastic cover. When replacing, I always remind to turn off the ignition key first and avoid using metal tools to prevent short circuits. The engine compartment location is well-ventilated, but be cautious of water stains during the rainy season. The one inside the car is convenient for quickly checking fuse numbers, with detailed diagrams in the manual. Occasionally, they may become loose, so it's recommended to check the plugs every six months.
