Where is the fuse box located?
1 Answers
Automotive fuse boxes are located on the right side of the engine compartment and on the lower left side of the steering column. The fuse on the right side of the engine compartment is primarily responsible for the safety of external vehicle electronics, such as the ECU, windshield washer fluid, lights, horn, and ABS circuit protection. The fuse on the lower left side of the steering column mainly ensures the proper functioning of internal electronics like the cigarette lighter, power windows, electric seats, and airbags. Below are the steps for replacing a fuse: 1. Turn off the vehicle and shut down all power sources; if using a mechanical key, remove it. 2. Locate the corresponding position, use a small pry tool to open the protective cover, and check the component information on the inside of the fuse box. 3. Use a light to inspect whether the corresponding fuse is damaged; if it is blown, replace it. 4. Only use a fuse with the same current rating (indicated by the same color and printed text) and identical size for replacement. 5. If the corresponding component still does not work after replacement, seek professional repair immediately.
