Where is the fuel tank release button on the Geely Emgrand?

Geely Emgrand's fuel tank release button is located under the driver's seat. How to open the car fuel tank: The fuel tank can generally be opened in three ways: using the key, pressing the interior release button, or directly pressing the fuel tank cap. Currently, the more common methods are using the interior release button or pull lever, but this can easily lead to refueling without turning off the engine. This type of switch is usually located on the left side of the driver's seat. There is also the most convenient method of directly pressing the fuel tank cap to open it, allowing the gas station attendant to refuel directly, which brings great convenience to the owner but also carries certain risks. Therefore, owners of cars with this direct press-to-open feature must ensure the car is locked when parked. This type of switch is generally located under the driver's seat. Fuel tank capacity: Fuel tank capacity (L) refers to the size of the fuel tank, measuring a car's ability to hold fuel. The fuel tank capacity determines the driving range. For two cars with identical engines, the one with the larger fuel tank can travel farther.
When I first started driving the Geely Emgrand, I also spent a lot of time searching for the fuel tank button. After some effort, I finally figured it out. Usually, it's located on the door frame next to the driver's seat, towards the lower left side, in a rather discreet position—it looks like a small button or lever. The first time I drove, I had to bend down and take a closer look to find it near the lower left part of the center console, close to the foot pedals. My advice is to first sit firmly in the driver's seat and reach around to feel for it—don’t rush to pry open the fuel cap. Also, always turn off the engine when refueling to ensure safety. Once you get familiar with this button, it’s really convenient. Before refueling, you can also take the opportunity to check the interior cleanliness and keep the button clean to prevent jamming. This design considers one-handed operation for the driver, which is quite user-friendly. If you encounter similar issues, the owner’s manual also provides illustrated guidance.
