Where is the fuel tank cap switch on the Focus?

The fuel tank cap switch on the Focus is the central locking system. Here are some relevant details about the Focus: Introduction to the Focus: It is a product of Changan Ford, classified as an A-segment family car. The Focus was first introduced by Ford at the 1998 Paris Motor Show and is one of the flagship models of Ford Europe. The prototype of the Focus was the GHIA concept car showcased by Ford in 1991. As one of Ford's best-selling compact cars, the Focus has enhanced Ford's brand position in the market with its excellent chassis and handling. Advantages of the Focus: Stylish exterior, American-style interior, rich configurations, strong power, precise steering, four-wheel independent suspension, front and rear anti-collision steel beams, overall a great car. The dashboard is made of soft materials, providing a good tactile feel.
The fuel filler cap switch of my third-generation Focus is right next to the driver's left leg, lined up with the central locking button. Below the far left side of the dashboard, there's a dedicated fuel pump icon button—pressing it produces a click sound, and the fuel filler cap on the right side of the trunk pops open. As a 12-year owner, I can say this design is much more convenient than the old model's cable hidden near the seat, allowing operation even with gloves on in winter. Note that the car must be powered on for the switch to work; if the button doesn’t respond, check if the driver's door is fully unlocked or if a fuse has blown. Also, don’t start the engine while refueling, or the fuel cap will lock.
