Where is the fuel tank cap located and how to open it on a Volkswagen?

The fuel tank cap of a Volkswagen is located on the right rear side of the vehicle. It can be unlocked using the remote key's unlock button or by inserting the car key into the keyhole and turning it counterclockwise to unlock the vehicle. Press the fuel tank cap to open it. Taking the Volkswagen Magotan 2020 model as an example, its body structure is a 4-door, 5-seater sedan with body dimensions of: length 4865mm, width 1832mm, height 1471mm, and a wheelbase of 2871mm. The fuel tank capacity is 66 liters. The Volkswagen Magotan 2020 is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 220 hp and a maximum power of 162 kW.
When I first drove my sister's Volkswagen, I also spent a long time looking for the fuel tank cap switch. Later, I found that newer models basically don't require manual opening: there's a small indentation on the left side of the fuel tank cap. After turning off the engine, just press it with your hand and it will pop open. Remember that the car key needs to be within the sensing range. For older models like the Passat, there's a plastic handle above the carpet near the driver's left foot, marked with a fuel pump icon. Pull it, and the fuel tank cap will open. When refueling, pay attention to the arrow symbol on the cap. Volkswagen's fuel tank opening is usually on the right side of the car body. The fuel tank cap automatically locks when the car is locked, which is quite a hassle-free design.
