Where is the fuel pump relay located in the new Santana?

The location of the Santana fuel pump relay is under the hood, near the battery or inside the black box on the upper left or right side (some models may have it located under the windshield wiper tray). It is uniformly installed in the fuse box or relay box. The function of the Santana fuel pump: It supplies the required fuel to each injector and the cold start injector. In electronic fuel injection systems, there are generally two types of electric fuel pumps used: roller-type electric fuel pumps and vane-type electric fuel pumps. The roller-type electric fuel pump has an inlet on one end of the pump housing and an outlet on the other end. The roller pump on the inlet side is driven at high speed by a motor located in the middle of the pump housing. The rotor is eccentrically installed inside the pump body, and rollers are placed in the grooves of the rotor. When the pump rotates, due to centrifugal force, the rollers move outward and press against the eccentrically designed inner wall of the pump housing. At the same time, due to inertia, the rollers always stay in contact with one side of the rotor groove, forming several working chambers. Classification of fuel pumps: Fuel pumps can be divided into two types based on their driving methods: mechanically driven diaphragm-type and electrically driven. The diaphragm-type fuel pump is representative of mechanical fuel pumps, used in carburetor engines, and is typically driven by an eccentric wheel on the camshaft. The electric fuel pump does not rely on the camshaft for operation but instead uses electromagnetic force to repeatedly move the pump diaphragm. This type of electric pump can be freely installed in various positions and helps prevent vapor lock.
I've been driving Volkswagen group vehicles for ten years, and during every maintenance check, I always need to locate the fuel pump relay. In the new Santana, it's typically installed in the fuse box at the front side of the engine compartment, specifically in the upper left corner of the black plastic box beneath the windshield, possibly labeled as 'Fuel Pump' or with the number 109. You can find the box by opening the hood, and after lifting the cover, the relays are aligned in a row. It's advisable to check before turning off the engine to prevent short circuits. Last month, my car wouldn't start due to poor relay contact, but replacing the part after locating it solved the issue. By the way, regularly cleaning the relay contacts can extend their lifespan, especially in humid environments where oxidation and rust are more likely, affecting the stability of the fuel pump's power supply.
