Mercedes-Benz GL350 fuel pump relay is located in the control cabinet or control box. Relay: As an electrical control device, the relay is connected in the circuit to form two control systems: the control system (also known as the input circuit) and the controlled system (also known as the output circuit). Therefore, it plays a role in automatic regulation, safety protection, and circuit switching in the circuit. Relay search method: The relay is connected in series in the main circuit. You can follow the circuit to find it. The relay generally has several main contacts, plus two coil contacts, which are quite similar to contactors. However, the contacts of the relay are usually visible. Based on this feature, you should be able to find it.
Over the years with the GL350, I've become very familiar with relay locations. In older models, the fuel pump relay is typically located in the engine compartment fuse box, specifically in the black box under the right front windshield. Open the hood, look for a rectangular plastic box, and after lifting the cover, you'll find an icon labeled "Fuel Pump" or "KP" on the inner side. In newer models, it's been relocated to the rear trunk – lift the trunk floor panel and remove the left-side trim to reveal a set of relay modules. When searching for the relay, it's best to turn off the engine and remove the key, being careful not to touch other fuses. If you experience starting difficulties but hear a brief "hum" from the fuel tank under the rear seat, it's likely due to burnt relay contacts, which need immediate replacement.
