Where is the fuel pump located in the Grand Caravan?

The fuel pump in the Grand Caravan is installed inside the fuel tank. The function of the fuel pump is to draw gasoline from the fuel tank and deliver it through the pipelines and fuel filter to the float chamber of the carburetor. It is precisely because of the fuel pump that the fuel tank can be placed at the rear of the vehicle, away from the engine, and positioned lower than the engine. Diaphragm-type fuel pump: This is a representative of mechanical fuel pumps, used in carburetor-equipped engines, driven by the eccentric wheel on the camshaft; Electric fuel pump: Unlike the mechanical type, it operates by electromagnetic force repeatedly moving the pump diaphragm. This electric pump allows for flexible installation positioning and helps prevent vapor lock issues.
I just replaced the fuel pump on my Grand Caravan myself. You can see it by pulling up the felt pad under the seat. This vehicle follows the classic American MPV design, with the fuel pump directly buried in the fuel tank under the second-row seats. You need to disconnect the battery (negative terminal first), drain the gasoline, and use special tools to unscrew the fuel pump cover plate—that thing is called a lock ring and it's particularly prone to rusting shut. I'd advise beginners not to attempt this casually, as gasoline vapors are flammable. The repair manual states that explosion-proof tools must be used for this operation. Last time I smelled gasoline halfway through and stopped immediately, eventually calling a tow truck to take it to the repair shop. Safety comes first.
