The fuel filler switch is integrated with the central door locking system. Unlocking the doors will also release the fuel filler cap lock. After unlocking, simply press the fuel filler cap by hand and it will pop open. Below is some information about the Volkswagen Gran Lavida: Introduction to the Volkswagen Gran Lavida: The Gran Lavida is a significant model launched by Shanghai Volkswagen in 2013. As the hatchback version of the Lavida, it was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2013 and went on sale in June of the same year. Models of the Volkswagen Gran Lavida: Built on the MQB platform, the Volkswagen Gran Lavida is neither an SUV nor an MPV. Strictly speaking, it belongs to the crossover-style sedan category. Design of the Volkswagen Gran Lavida: The front face of the Volkswagen Gran Lavida features a horizontal grille design, giving it a robust and sophisticated visual appeal. The upper grille seamlessly integrates with the front headlights on both sides, enhancing the dynamic and powerful family-inspired silhouette. The rear design follows Volkswagen's high-tech development approach, with new LED tail lights adopting a dual-piece design and incorporating multiple optical fibers to elevate the lighting effects and overall vehicle quality. The rear styling further emphasizes a bold and refined design language, with the side waistline flowing into the upper edge of the tail lights, while the skirt line transitions smoothly through the rear fender, perfectly embodying the quality and tradition pursued by German craftsmanship. The interior continues Volkswagen's pure design philosophy, featuring extensive horizontal elements. The clean and modern panel lines create a more sophisticated and stable appearance, and the T-shaped center console design maintains a conventional yet balanced look. The optional beige and black interior color schemes cater to different personal preferences for driving style.
I know this like the back of my hand! The fuel door release for the Volkswagen Lavida Hatchback is similar to other VW models, located near the driver's left foot position, right next to the dead pedal. There's a small plastic lever with a fuel tank symbol on the floor panel - just pull it upward and you'll hear the 'click' of the fuel cap unlocking. However, note that the Lavida's fuel door release is linked to the central locking system. If the central lock isn't disengaged, pulling this lever won't work. A friend of mine once tried retrofitting an external mechanical switch, only to find the new model doesn't support this feature at all. If you really can't locate it, press the door unlock button on the left side of the steering wheel to release all doors including the fuel cap. The remote key fob can also directly unlock the fuel door.
