Where is the fuel filler switch on the Lavida?

There is no fuel filler switch inside the Lavida. Its fuel tank cap is linked with the central locking system. After unlocking the central lock, press the left side of the fuel tank cap during refueling, and the cap will automatically pop open. Remember to press it back after refueling, as it will lock automatically when the car is locked. The Lavida is a sedan produced by Shanghai Volkswagen, featuring a front MacPherson strut independent suspension and a rear torsion beam non-independent suspension. This model is equipped with a 1.4L turbocharged engine, paired with a dual-clutch transmission, and can reach a top speed of 200 km/h. The Lavida's in-car navigation system combines touch screen and knob controls, supports MP3 playback, and includes USB, AUX, and SD card expansion slots.
I've always been driving my Lavida, and the fuel filler release is located on the inner side of the driver's door panel, near the knee area. There's a small pull ring or button—just give it a gentle tug or press to open the fuel tank cap. I remember when I first got the car, I was a bit unfamiliar and fumbled around in the parking lot, but now I can find it with my eyes closed. It's best to turn off the engine before refueling to ensure safety and avoid any spark-related accidents. If you can't find it, check the door trim panel or see if there's a similar switch on the left side of the steering wheel, as some older models have different placements. During regular maintenance, make sure dust doesn’t accumulate around the switch to prevent jamming—just a simple clean will do. Be extra cautious on rainy days to avoid moisture, which could cause rust and affect functionality. Paying attention to these small details can make driving much smoother.
