The fog light switch of the Regal is located on the lighting switch assembly to the left of the steering wheel. Press the button to turn the fog light on or off. The width light must be turned on before the fog light can be activated. The Buick Regal does not have front fog lights, only rear fog lights. Its symbol is a small lamp emitting three parallel light rays pointing to the right, with a vertical line crossing through them. Due to low visibility in foggy conditions, the driver's line of sight is limited. Fog lights can increase the operational distance, especially the strong light penetration of yellow fog lights, which enhances visibility for the driver and surrounding traffic participants, allowing oncoming vehicles and pedestrians to spot each other from a greater distance. According to traffic regulations, when visibility is between 100-200m during rainy or foggy weather, fog lights, low beam lights, width lights, and tail lights must be turned on, with speed not exceeding 60km/h and maintaining a distance of more than 100m from the vehicle ahead. When visibility is between 50-100m, fog lights, low beam lights, width lights, and tail lights must be turned on, with speed not exceeding 40km/h and maintaining a distance of more than 50m from the vehicle ahead. The 100-200m range is just a safe driving distance; whether to turn on fog lights depends on actual conditions. If visibility is very low, fog lights must be turned on to avoid safety accidents.

I've been repairing cars for over a decade, and the Buick Regal's fog light positions are quite standardized. The front fog lights are located at the bottom corners of the front bumper, like small bulbs tucked beneath the front end near the ground. The rear fog light is integrated into the inner or lower section of the taillight assembly, emitting red light when activated for warning purposes. The control button is usually near the steering wheel or on the center console—just press it to toggle on/off. The positioning is well-designed to minimize stone damage, though prolonged exposure to mud may obscure the lens and reduce brightness over time. During inspections, simply crouch down to check if they're functioning. Not using fog lights in foggy conditions can dangerously impair visibility, so regular cleaning is advised for safety. Avoid forcing components during repairs to prevent wiring damage. One more thing—their low placement makes cleaning slightly troublesome, so be sure to use a soft cloth.

Our family has been driving the Regal for three years, and I'm very familiar with the fog light positions. The front fog lights are located at the lowest edges of the bumper on both sides, close to the ground but not obstructive. The rear fog light is near the taillight, emitting a soft light that illuminates the road ahead when activated. The switch is conveniently placed near the center console, making operation simple. Their positions are discreet and safe, minimizing accidental contact, but it's important to clear snow accumulation on the lens during snowy conditions. I find them particularly useful for enhancing road visibility, especially in rainy weather. Last year, when I replaced a bulb, I realized how easily accessible they are—just lift the side cover of the bumper. Regular maintenance is crucial to prevent ice buildup from affecting their functionality.

When I first bought a car, I got familiar with these details. The Buick Regal's fog lights are located on both sides at the bottom of the front bumper, quite low-key and inconspicuous. The rear fog light is positioned below the taillight. The button is next to the steering wheel—just press it to turn them on. Although the positions are somewhat hidden, they are not easily damaged. Every time I wash my car, I casually wipe the lamp surfaces. At first, I was always worried about turning on the wrong lights, but gradually I got used to it. New drivers should remember to check their positions to be prepared for foggy weather.
