Where is the external circulation button on the Tiguan L?

There is only one button on the center console, which displays the internal circulation mode. The default setting is external circulation, and pressing it activates the internal circulation mode. Below are some precautions for using the car air conditioning: 1. The car is equipped with an automatic switching function between internal and external circulation, which switches automatically based on external air quality conditions. 2. After entering the car, open the windows or turn on the external circulation ventilation system to introduce fresh air in a short time. Do not drive for long periods with closed windows and doors, and never sleep or rest for extended periods in a sealed car. 3. When using the air conditioning or heater, employ the air exchange mode between the inside and outside of the car to avoid prolonged use of the internal circulation mode.
I've been driving the Tiguan L for three or four years. The external circulation button is the one with the arrow inside the car icon on the central air conditioning panel. Press it once, and the indicator light turns on for internal circulation; press it again to turn it off for external circulation. In city traffic jams, I usually keep the internal circulation on to avoid inhaling exhaust fumes, while on long highway trips, I switch to external circulation for fresh air. If the windshield fogs up on rainy days, turning on external circulation clears the fog particularly quickly. It's very convenient to use, and Volkswagen's design is quite reasonable.
Just picked up the Tiguan L Pro last week and specifically researched this feature. The small car button with an arrow in the air conditioning control area is the circulation switch - light on means recirculation mode, light off means fresh air mode. I've developed a habit of turning on the automatic AC first when getting in the car, then manually switching to fresh air mode when needing ventilation. Fresh air comes directly through the intake vent at the front of the vehicle. Sometimes when feeling drowsy during long highway drives, switching to fresh air mode provides a refreshing breeze that really helps stay alert.
