The ESP button of the Roewe i5 is located in the display screen. Here are some additional details: 1. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is a general term for systems or programs that enhance vehicle handling performance while effectively preventing loss of control when the car reaches its dynamic limits. 2. The ESP system consists of a control unit and various sensors including steering sensors, wheel sensors, skid sensors, and lateral acceleration sensors. 3. The ESP actuator is the braking system for all four wheels. Unlike vehicles without ESP, those equipped with ESP feature a braking system with pressure accumulation capability. The ESP actuator is a braking system capable of individually braking each wheel.

I've been driving the Roewe i5 for two years, and the ESP button is located in the area right in front of the gear shift, below the air conditioning knobs. It's the one with a small car icon and two curved lines. Normally, you shouldn't press this button randomly while driving, as the ESP system is turned on by default to prevent skidding and rollovers. It's only in special situations, like when you're stuck in snow and need to get out, that you should press it to temporarily turn it off, allowing the wheels to spin freely. It automatically turns back on every time you restart the car, which is really convenient. If you can't find it, just look down at the lower left side of the center console—the button isn't very noticeable but it's quite important. If all else fails, check the manual or visit a 4S shop to have a technician point it out to you.

I remember when I first got my Roewe i5, I couldn't find the ESP button either. Later, I discovered it's located below the left air vent on the steering wheel, right next to the tire pressure monitoring button. The icon shows a small car with an S-shaped trail, and the black button with silver trim is quite distinctive. Normally, you don't need to touch it as the system automatically keeps it on to protect you. However, if you're driving on muddy slopes and the wheels slip, you might need to turn it off to let the car gain more traction. After pressing it, a yellow light on the dashboard will indicate that it's turned off. Some newer models have switched to touchscreen controls, but older models definitely have a physical button. If you can't find it, try turning on the ignition and sitting in the driver's seat to feel around—it's on the left side of the center console.

The ESP button of the Roewe i5 is usually located in the area in front of the gear lever. The icon resembles a skidding car, and the button is small but has a noticeable tactile feel. This system can be life-saving, as it prevents skidding when turning on rainy days, and it is enabled by default. It should only be turned off for special needs, such as getting unstuck in snow or ice, where pressing the button allows the wheels to spin. It automatically activates every time the car is started, and the dashboard indicator light will turn off. If the button position has changed in newer models, the quickest way is to find the vehicle settings in the multifunction menu on the steering wheel, where the electronic stability system switch is located.

From my experience, the ESP button is located right above the driver's knee area. Look down at the center console - it's either next to the hazard light button or below the AC knob, marked with a simplified sketch of a skidding car wheel. Important reminder: don't press this button randomly as keeping it activated during normal driving helps prevent loss of vehicle control. Even if you need to turn it off, only do so temporarily for specific road conditions, and remember to reactivate it immediately after overcoming the obstacle. In newer models, this function might be integrated into the quick menu on the infotainment screen - try swiping down to find the vehicle control center. If you still can't locate it, ask the car wash staff for help during your next visit - they handle different car models daily and know them exceptionally well.

The actual location of the ESP button on the Roewe i5 may vary slightly depending on the model year. I've seen three versions: the 2018 model has it to the left of the cigarette lighter, the 2020 model moved it below the air conditioning panel, and some 2022 models changed to screen control. For physical buttons, look for the skidding car icon button on the left side of the center console - it's about the size of a soybean with backlight. Remember to hold it for more than 3 seconds to deactivate - a single press only temporarily releases the brakes rather than truly turning it off. Important note: This button shouldn't be turned off casually, especially during high-speed driving in rainy conditions. If you've modified tire size, the ESP data needs recalibration to avoid misjudgment.

How many points are deducted for stopping during Subject 2 of the driving test?

Stopping during Subject 2 of the driving test results in a deduction of 5 points. The evaluation criteria define stopping as when the vehicle pauses for 2 seconds or more. Techniques to avoid stopping midway are as follows: Drive slightly faster: When encountering road boundaries or uneven surfaces, maintain a slightly higher speed. Ease off the clutch: When performing maneuvers that require full steering lock, release the clutch slightly to prevent the vehicle from stalling due to insufficient power. Coordinate clutch and brake: At slower speeds, ease off the clutch more or avoid pressing the brake too hard. If necessary, apply a bit of throttle. As long as you don't stop within the designated test area, it won't be considered stopping midway.

What does cancel mean in a car

Cancel in a car refers to deactivating the cruise control, set means establishing the current speed as the cruising speed, and resume means returning to the original cruising speed. After setting the desired speed with the switch, the vehicle will automatically maintain that speed without requiring the driver to press the accelerator pedal, enabling the car to travel at a constant speed. This device allows drivers on long highway journeys to avoid constant throttle control, reducing fatigue and unnecessary speed fluctuations while improving fuel efficiency. The cruise control system is also known as speed control system, automatic driving system, etc.

What Happens When an Engine Burns Oil?

The main symptom of an engine burning oil is blue smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. If the engine shakes while the vehicle is idling, it indicates that the vehicle is experiencing oil burning. The causes of engine oil burning are as follows: Carbon deposits in piston grooves: Carbon deposits accumulate in the piston grooves, causing the piston rings to stick together. This prevents the piston rings from sealing properly, and the 'stuck' rings significantly reduce their oil-scraping and sealing capabilities. Additionally, sludge can clog the oil return holes, preventing the oil from flowing back normally, leading to increased oil consumption. Wear between pistons and cylinder walls: Carbon deposits can also accelerate wear between the pistons and cylinder walls, creating excessive gaps that allow oil to enter the combustion chamber. Aging oil seals: Valve stem seals can corrode and age, resulting in poor sealing. Valve stem seals are one of the most prone-to-wear components in an engine, and most vehicles with over 100,000 kilometers on the odometer experience this issue.

How to Deal with the ESP Warning Light?

When the ESP warning light comes on, it is recommended to immediately reduce your driving speed, avoid excessive steering and turning, and visit a 4S shop as soon as possible to have the fault diagnosed and repaired using a specialized diagnostic tool. ESP stands for Electronic Stability Program, commonly known as the vehicle stability control system. ESP is primarily used to address the risk of fishtailing and loss of control caused by continuous steering during emergency obstacle avoidance. During emergency maneuvers, ESP intervenes to increase the rotational force of the drive wheels; when a fishtailing tendency is detected, ESP applies braking to the opposite wheels to reduce rotation, thereby helping the vehicle follow the driver's steering intentions. The main reasons for the ESP warning light to illuminate include: poor combustion state, engine knocking, internal issues, unclean engine cylinder interiors, and accumulated carbon deposits.

What does ASR mean on a car?

ASR on a car refers to the Acceleration Slip Regulation system, or Acceleration Stability Retainer system. As the name suggests, it is a control system designed to prevent the driving wheels from slipping during acceleration. Its primary purpose is to prevent wheel spin, especially in high-power vehicles, thereby maintaining directional stability, ensuring good handling and appropriate driving force for safe driving. During acceleration, ASR keeps the tire slip ratio within a certain range to prevent power loss due to wheel spin or safety issues caused by excessive power output. Its functions include improving traction and maintaining driving stability. On slippery surfaces, a car without ASR is prone to wheel spin during acceleration: rear-wheel-drive vehicles may experience fishtailing, while front-wheel-drive vehicles may suffer from loss of steering control.
